How to Install the McAfee Security Suite

    • 1). Insert the McAfee Internet Security Suite CD if you purchased a physical copy of the software, or double-click the installation file if you downloaded it from McAfee or your Internet Service Provider. After a moment, the McAfee Installation Wizard appears. Click "Next."

    • 2). Examine the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the McAfee Internet Security Suite. If you agree to the terms, click the "Accept" button to proceed with the installation.

    • 3). Select the radio button labeled "Complete," and then click "Next."

    • 4). Enter the word or phrase that you would like to use as an administrator password for McAfee, and then select a question--such as "What was the make of your first car?"--that the McAfee Internet Security Suite should ask if you forget the password. Type the answer to the question, and then click "Next."

    • 5). Select a radio button to indicate whether you would like to participate in the virus mapping service to help McAfee track the spread of virus outbreaks. Click "Next."

    • 6). Click the "Restart" button to complete the installation procedure. When the computer finishes restarting, the McAfee Internet Security Suite is active.

    • 7). Type the administrator password that you selected, and click the "Sign In" button to begin using your computer.
